At Energypro, our number one priority is ensuring that your home is comfortable and as energy efficient as possible. The EPA says that a homeowner can save 10-15% by air sealing and properly insulating the home and The Department of Energy says that one of the most cost-effective ways to improve your home’s comfort is to add insulation to your attic. When your home is well insulated, it keeps the air inside your house at the temperature you desire for longer. That means that your HVAC system doesn’t have to work overtime to keep you comfortable. And that in turn lowers your monthly electric bill so that you get to keep more of your hard earned money where it belongs- in your wallet.
Energypro offers a Blown-In Fiberglass Insulation service using Owens Corning ProPink L77 Fiberglass*. Owens Corning PROPINK L77 PINK Fiberglas Unbonded Loosefill Insulation is an alternative to roll or batt insulation in attics for new construction or retrofit applications. This kind of insulation works on the principle of trapped air pockets. Millions of tiny air pockets form between the tangled strands of the Fiberglass Insulation. These air pockets resist the passage of heat flow through the material, reducing heat loss in the winter and heat gain in the summer.

There are several reasons why Energypro uses Fiberglass over Cellulose, which others use for insulation.
- Safety
The first reason we use it is the most important. Cellulose is not naturally flammable, and contains up to 20% chemically based retardants to reduce flammability. Fiberglass insulation is naturally non-combustible, and so it does not require retardant.
- Health
Fiberglass insulation is one of the most thoroughly tested building materials in use today. The great amount of medical and scientific evidence compiled over more than fifty years by industry, government and independent research organizations supports the conclusion that fiberglass insulation is safe to use when manufacturers’ recommended work practices are followed.
- Installation
Fiberglass is designed to install very easily, with very little interruption to your daily schedule and virtually dust-free. It insulates where you need it, providing optimum insulation R-value for your climate zone. It provides complete coverage, even around pipes, wires and outlets.
- Performance
Fiberglass completely Fills the cavity with virtually no settling maintaining R-Value and Energy Efficiency over time vs. Cellulose which settles an average of 20%, reducing R-Value and Energy Efficiency over time.
By properly insulating your home, you could see annual savings of up to 20% in your heating and cooling costs. When Energypro insulates your house, you will see:
- A decrease in energy usage
- Improvement in home comfort
- A reduction in noise pollution
- An increase in home value
All of these are great reasons to insulate your home with Energypro.
